BOVIKALC
Exhibition & Spatial Design | Boehringer Ingelheim
Designed as part of a larger exhibition stand for Boehringer Ingelheim, the BOVIKALC space reimagined a conventional agricultural trade show environment as a contemporary lounge.
Sculptural seating, a monochromatic palette and large-scale photographic imagery created a distinctive setting for informal conversations and product engagement. Semi-transparent partitions offered a degree of privacy while maintaining visual connections to the surrounding exhibition.
The design balanced a strong brand presence with a welcoming, functional environment, creating a space where visitors could pause, meet and engage.
Designing Within an Existing Concept
The project involved designing one section of a larger exhibition stand, with the adjoining area already developed by another designer. The challenge was to create a distinct spatial identity while maintaining a coherent relationship with the existing scheme.
Working from the original plans, I developed the contemporary lounge environment that introduced a contrasting architectural language through dark finishes, sculptural seating and semi-transparent screens. Curved forms and carefully considered circulation helped connect the two areas, allowing the new design to establish its own character while remaining part of a unified visitor experience.
